Jesse Brown has over twenty-four years of forensic analysis and training experience with state and federal agencies.  He has testified in numerous state, federal, and military judicial proceedings and remains technically proficient in explosives and miscellaneous chemical analysis with expertise also in gunshot reside and controlled substance analyses.  He has served as a chemist on methamphetamine interdiction programs worked to disable and sample clandestine manufacturing laboratories.  Additionally, Mr. Brown has directed full scale technical training programs, proficiency testing programs, and stood up analytical laboratories in deployed locations.

He has served in various officer roles in the Southern Association of Forensic Scientists (SAFS) and as a voting member of the Organization of Scientific Area Committees (OSAC).  He has presented to the National Commission on Forensic Science with regards to blind proficiency testing and has successfully piloted a novel program with his own laboratory system.

Jesse Brown obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry degree from Georgia Southern University, where his undergraduate research focused molecular modeling and amino acid interactions. He began his career with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation before moving into federal service.  He serves as the Founder and CEO of Obsidian Advisement Group LLC and has a proven track record of leading dynamic teams across multidisciplinary forensic fields.  He is a process-oriented individual with novel approaches to unique problem sets.  Jesse is a perpetual student of leadership lessons and has completed Gordon Training International’s Leader Effectiveness Training (L.E.T.).
