Jack Stephenson is a consultant and instructor for Minds of Distinction, with over 10 years of professional experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). With a strong background in Chemistry, Mr. Stephenson was formally trained in Drug Chemistry, and Explosives Analysis. He has worked forensic science cases for the Department of Defense (DoD) with a primary focus on intelligence derived from chemical exploitation. He has supported Research, Development, Testing & Evaluation (RDT&E), as a research scientist, and project manager in support of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Mr. Stephenson has extensive experience problem solving and innovating solutions to expand productivity and capabilities. He has a strong background in method development for advanced scientific instrumentation and has utilized his subject matter expertise to make processes more sensitive, more selective, more robust, and more time efficient. He believes that progress is only possible through ingenuity and innovation, that systems are made to be refined and optimized. Mr. Stephenson holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Stockton University and obtained an MBA from Kennesaw State University to expand his skill set and perspectives of processes and procedures. He seeks to deconvolute problems from multiple angles with attention to human behavior in organizations, managerial decision analysis, strategic marketing, finance, global and international business, entrepreneurship, operations supply chain management, and business strategy while applying scientific knowledge and methodology.
He has facilitated growth in the professional development of his team, worked at high up-tempo to manage a forward deployed forensic laboratory, and has bridged communication gaps to improve collaboration efforts amongst forensic organizations leading to more impactful intelligence to the broader community.
